Fun at Fundy Bay

Tom got food poisoning and wouldn’t hardly move for a whole day while we were parked by Cape Hopewell. After he got better, we went for an evening walk at a place called Flowerpot Rocks. It was a rocky beach with some gravel and sand up at the top. I love the beach! I did my happy dance again and again!

As we were walking along the beach, we stepped in some mud and got our feet all muddy. Tom took a few pictures, but didn’t seem to like them much. Later, some ladies wanted to pet me, but Tom said “better not, you’ll end up with mud all over you.”

Tom got me up earlier than usual the next morning, and we went back to the rocks. This time there was fog everywhere. There weren’t as many people there this time, and they missed a real treat. The landscape looked really wierd with all the rocks looming out of the fog. Tom seemed a lot happier with his pictures this time. After we left, we went to a bunch of other places so Tom could do his busy stuff.

Later in the day, we went back to the rocks. The beach was all underwater! We could only go down the steps a little way and stand on a platform to watch the kayakers paddle around where I had done my happy dance the day before. There were a lot of other people on the platform, too. They all loved me, and I loved all of them. I got so many pets and hugs, and some people even took their picture with me!

Fundy Bay sure was a lot of fun. A couple days later, Tom packed up our den-on-wheels and we headed for Nova Scotia. It’s a beautiful place. Tom is recovering from a cold now. But, I’m sure we’ll have lots more wonderful adventures after he’s not sick any more.
