More Fun at Fundy Bay

Tom decided we needed to have another look at Fundy Bay, so we moved to Parrsboro for a few days. This time, we stayed right on the beach! The tides here are really amazing. At high tide, the water was right up to the shore. But at low tide, we could walk out a half a mile before reaching the water. In town, the whole harbor ran dry during low tide. The boats were all sitting in the mud at the bottom! So now I know: boats don’t have wheels.

Near Parrsboro is also where they found the oldest dinosaur fossils in Canada, from the Triassic Era. They even named their ball field Triassic Park! There’s a nice museum that explains the geology of the area. Best of all, there’s a dog park right next to the museum! Tom doesn’t like to take me where there’s a lot of dogs, but we had this one all to ourselves. We went every day, sometimes twice.

There was also a lot of hiking, and plenty other things to do. I wish we could have stayed longer. It was one of my favorite places yet, and I was really sad to leave.

  1. Hi Y’all!

People used to go out and pick up stranded fish when the tide went out. No rod or net necessary. Glad y’all had so much fun!

    Y’all come on by,
    Hawk aka BrownDog
